Canadian Institute for Military and Veteran Health Research

Major (ret’d) Paul Hook, CD, is the Managing Director with the Canadian Institute for Military and Veteran Health Research.

Paul joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1998. He has held numerous command and staff positions throughout his 25-year career, including positions in the Canadian Army, the VCDS group and Military Personnel Command. Most recently, he was the Deputy Canadian Defence Attaché in Jordan and Israel for three years each – 2016-2022. He deployed to Afghanistan in 2005 and participated in numerous training venues around the world.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours in History and a Master’s in Public Administration, both from the Royal Military College in Canada.
