Requests for Proposals - “An analytic and predictive risk model to assess dental readiness in the military population” (en anglais seulement)

The Canadian Armed Forces Health Services Group, is looking for a biostatistician who will provide advice, analyze data and determine data analytic strategies to assess dental readiness in the military population.The objective of this work is to develop a dental risk model and assess its predictive validity and diagnostic accuracy.  If effective, the model will provide a reliable tool to assess dental readiness in the military population.

The Canadian Institute for Military and Veteran Health Research (CIMVHR) has entered into partnership with the Government of Canada to procure Research and Development Services related to the mental, social and physical wellbeing of active military members, Veterans and their families.  CIMVHR is seeking Notices of Interest from qualified researchers or a research team to enter into a contract with CIMVHR to produce this Work.

 The successful biostatistician will have the following minimum qualifications:

  • A Master’s level or above in statistics or biostatistics (PhD preferred);
  • Significant experience analyzing complex data;
  • A faculty appointment at one of CIMVHR’s partner Universities (A list of partner Universities is available at https://cimvhr.ca/university-partners);
  • Be able to meet with the Scientific Authority in person at least once every two weeks at the CFB St-Jean dental clinic;
  • Preference will be given to applicants within driving distance from CFB St-Jean dental clinic;
  • Be able to meet project deliverables within stated timelines; 
  • Please see the attached Statement of Work (SOW) for more details.

Qualified researchers may submit a notice of interest that includes:

  • Their CV, and the CV’s of any research team members proposed if applicable;
  • A 1-page document (500 words max.) listing relevant experience of the principal applicant and team members if applicable;
  • A draft project budget and 1-2 page budget justification
